Is Xuper TV safe?

Short answer: the APKs we host are scanned and verified, but sideloading any app is a decision — here is what you should know.

What we verify

  • VirusTotal scan across 60+ engines
  • SHA-256 checksum published on the download page
  • Signing certificate consistency across versions
  • Manual install test on 3 devices per release

Things to remember

  • Only download from sources you trust
  • Legality of streaming certain channels depends on your country
  • A VPN is not required but is your choice
  • Keep the app updated to get security fixes

How we test each release

Before we publish a new version of the Xuper TV APK, our editors run a five-step verification:

  1. Download the APK from the developer's stated release channel.
  2. Compute its SHA-256 and compare it against the developer's published hash when one is available.
  3. Upload the file to VirusTotal and record the result. We do not publish any build flagged by more than one reputable engine without contacting the developer first.
  4. Install the APK on a Google Pixel, an Android TV box and an Amazon Firestick 4K Max. We watch a channel for at least 10 minutes on each device.
  5. Publish the file alongside its metadata, hash and install notes.

Is Xuper TV legal?

Xuper TV itself is a media player. Whether streaming a specific channel is legal in your country depends on that channel's licensing. In many jurisdictions, watching freely-broadcast television is fine; in others, some feeds may be unauthorized. When in doubt, prefer official broadcasters for premium content and use Xuper TV for the channels you already have the right to watch.

Privacy

Xuper TV does not require an account for basic use and does not request access to your contacts, camera or microphone. We recommend denying any permission that isn't strictly required for playback (for example, location).

Roughly every 4-6 weeks. We publish the full changelog on the Version History page as soon as each release goes live.
Yes. A VPN is not required. Some ISPs throttle streaming traffic - if you notice buffering only in the evening, a VPN can occasionally help but is not needed by default.
